A Kid’s Best Friend
A Dog-Child-Parent Workshop
Children can train their dogs and build the bond with their pets. In this fun, interactive class, children ages seven and up will learn games to play with their dogs and how to teach them tricks. Training is positive, easy and fun for everyone.
Pat Blocker, a certified pet dog trainer, has over 15 years experience. She owns a private dog training business specializing in solving canine behavior issues, teaches a variety of group obedience classes, and is member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. Dogs must be five months or older with current vaccines. Parents must attend class with their child, and each dog must have a separate child as the handler. Buckle collars, harnesses and head collars are acceptable. No choke chains, prong collars, or retractable leashes in class. Bring two six-foot leashes so parent and child can each hold a leash.
