Spanish Classes


The Spanish classes are designed for students who have not studied Spanish previously. These classes provide a solid grounding in grammar, vocabulary, writing and pronuciation. A well-designed workbook, geared toward adult learning, augments each level, anchoring class time with home study exercises.

Class descriptions and schedules:

Spanish I (Book 1, part 1) Register / Schedule / Level Quiz
Start at the beginning and learn greetings, the alphabet and pronunciation, gender, nouns and adjectives, ser and estar, numbers, and more.

Spanish II (Book 1, part 2) Register / Schedule / Level Quiz
Continue where you left off in Spanish I. Build you vocabulary while learning regular and irregular verbs in the present tense, how to tell time, the future and more!

Spanish III (Book 2, part 1) Register / Schedule / Level Quiz
Learn lots of fun and useful phrases at an easy pace while building your vocabulary and knowledge of the Spanish language. You will get idiomatic expression with the verb tener, reflexive verbs, and how to ask for and recieve directions.

Spanish IV (Book 2, part 2) Register / Schedule / Level Quiz
In the second part of Book 2 you will learn the present perfect tense, indirect object pronouns and verbs like gustar. You'll be well on your way towards strong communication skills in Spanish!

Spanish V & VI (Book 3, parts 1 & 2) Schedule / Level Quiz
Each of these five-week classes will get you the knowledge you need to speak in the past tense. Continue to build your vocabulary reading and discuss short story conversations. You will also learn about por and para, direct object pronouns and commands.

Spanish VII (Book 4) Register / Schedule
In this course you will learn a series of new grammar topics including the imperfect, compound tenses, passive voice and the future and condicional tenses. Each lesson also has a fun dialogue with conversation topics related to the dialogue.

Spanish VIII (Book 5) Register / Schedule
Study the subjunctive mode in detail. Learn the present and imperfect tenses and how to express wishes, doubts, hypothetical situations, uncompleted actions and more!
