The 3 R’s of Volunteers: Recruitment, Retention and Recognition (3/2/17, 12-2:30 pm): Nonprofits are made possible by an army of volunteers. Learn how to recruit them, keep them, and make sure they know how much your nonprofit values that work they do.

How to Create a Business Plan That Works (3/2/17, 3-5:30 pm): All businesses, nonprofit or for-profit, benefit from solid planning. Get your business off the ground the right way, or give it a tune-up, with this seminar.

Building & Developing the Best Board (3/2/17, 6-8:30 pm): A good board of directors can make a nonprofit soar, and a weak one can hold it back. Discover what a good board looks like and how you can build one for your nonprofit.

Become a Grant Writer (3/3/17, 9 am – 4 pm): This super popular one-day seminar is a crash course in grant writing. With so many nonprofits jockeying for a finite amount of funding, this workshop can help you move to the front of the pack. It’s also a great skill to add to your resume if you are looking for work at a nonprofit.

How to Start a Nonprofit (3/4/17, 9-11:30 am): Do you have a great idea for a nonprofit? This workshop will walk you through the steps for making your idea a reality.

Lynn has been in the trenches, working with nonprofits for over 20 years. She is currently the director of Computer C.O.R.E., a nonprofit computer training resource in the Washington, DC area. Lynn has an MA in philanthropy from Indiana University and a certificate in nonprofit administration from Duke. She’s also a passionate advocate for adult education and has been teaching adult learners for over 15 years.
