If you are thinking about making changes to landscape or home–inside or out–you can get realize those ideas by using a free program from Google called Sketchup — and learn how to use it in our Sketchup class.
Used by many architects and designers of all types, Sketchup is an easy-to-use program that can help you visualize your ideas. Architectural firms hire interns who know Sketchup because many of the architects themselves don’t have the skill.
In our Sketchup class, you’ll learn how to download images of your home or property from Google and then use the program to add on deck designs or porches, alter windows, add garages, change the landscape, and more. You can also use Sketchup to plan your kitchen or other remodel.
The only requirement for this class is that you have Sketchup pre-loaded on your laptop which you bring to class with you. But Sketchup is free, so all you have to do is download it from Google and sign up for class!
Introduction to Sketchup is taught by Matt Hodel, a freelance designer who works with many architecture firms in the Denver metro area.
