CFU students love the Spanish Winter Intensive Courses that give them the chance to accelerate their language acquisition.   Study for 2 weeks, from 9AM to 12:15PM, Monday through Friday, and take your skills to the next level, fast!  Half of the class time is spend on Spanish grammar and the other half on conversation. Intensive classes run from December 4, 2017 and run through Friday, December 15, 2017.

Beginners take Level 1 & 2; Conversation 1   Start by learning greetings, the alphabet and pronunciation. Then focus on how to use the verbs ser and estar and how to form basic sentences with gender agreement of nouns and adjectives.  Go on to build your vocabulary while learning regular and irregular verbs in the present tense, how to tell time, how to form questions, the verb “to go” and more!

Intermediate Students take Level 3 & 4; Conversation 2  Learn idiomatic expressions like “I’m thirsty” or “I’m cold”, reflexive verbs, more irregular verbs, the present progressive, and how to ask for and receive directions.  Learn learn the present perfect tense, indirect object pronouns, possessive pronouns, and verbs that take the indirect object pronoun in expressions like “me gusta” or “me duele.”

    I’m interest in taking intensive Spanish classes, but I am quite advanced. I have a thorough command of present tense, expressions like “me gusta” or “me duele.” I’m pretty sure the course would be too basic for me.

    Any other classes?
